About Me
Regional communications leader.
In my 36-year career, I’ve led communications in government, education, healthcare, nonprofit, finance, advertising, and more!
The Puget Sound Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America named me PR Professional of the Year in 2022.
Communicators throughout Western Washington are eligible for this award. So, it’s kind of a big deal.
The nominators recognized my work to transform an agency’s voice from bland and bureaucratic to personal, customer-focused, and inclusive. My accomplishments include:
Established brand standards for a reader-focused website first in 2017 and updated in 2023.
Supported countless staff members to communicate better through plain talk training and coaching.
Helped a small government agency adopt and advance brand, voice, and image.
I’ve led campaigns that resulted in:
5-time Summit Awards from the Puget Sound Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
Granicus’ International Digital Government Awards for COVID web pages.
National Association of Government Communicators Blue Pencil and Gold Screen awards for fentanylfacts.org.
I’m also a Masters Olympic Weightlifter, bringing a unique power and discipline to how I work for my clients. I speak Welsh, and my love of gardening means I’m ready with all the growth metaphors—sometimes in Welsh!
