In my 36-year career, I’ve led communications across government, education, healthcare, nonprofit, finance, and more—always with a focus on clarity, connection, and impact.

The Puget Sound Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America named me PR Professional of the Year in 2022.

Communicators throughout Western Washington are eligible for this award. It was a regional honor—and yes, kind of a big deal.

The nominators recognized my work to transform an agency’s voice from bland and bureaucratic to personal, customer-focused, and inclusive. My accomplishments include:

• Established brand standards for a reader-focused website—first in 2017 and updated in 2023.

• Coached hundreds in plain talk and strategic messaging.

• Helped a small government agency adopt and advance brand, voice, and image.

I’ve led campaigns that resulted in:

• 5-time Summit Awards from the Puget Sound Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

• Granicus’ International Digital Government Awards for COVID web pages.

• National Association of Government Communicators Blue Pencil and Gold Screen awards for fentanylfacts.org.
